New York City engineer Thornton Tomasetti has hired Richard J. Vivenzio in a new role as senior vice president in its East Coast property-loss consulting and forensics practice. He was a director at Navigant Consulting. Vivenzio had been a vice president at Thornton Tomasetti, from 2011 to 2014.

Simone Development Companies has signed a 73,000 s/f lease at 1390 Spofford Avenue in the Hunts Point area of the Bronx for LKO Hunts Point Auto Parts. Ownership’s Joanna Simone, VP of leasing and property management operations, negotiated the lease. The auto parts company will relocate from 1480 Sheridan Expressway—another Simone Development property—also in Hunts Point.

Pembrook Capital Management provided a $7.57m first mortgage loan to finance the completion of Alondra Villas, a 29-unit townhouse development in Compton, Calif. This loan will allow the new buyer, Neighborhood Housing Services of Los Angeles to complete the project over the next nine months, targeting the units to low-and moderate-income buyers.
