New York Road Runners has taken a 10-year triple-net-lease for a newly built, 40,000 s/f single-story warehouse in the Zerega Industrial Park in the Bronx. The group is consolidating its warehouses around the city and moving to 535 Zerega Avenue in the Castle Hill section. Owned by Simone Development, the space has ceilings that are more than 21 feet high, plus five overhead doors. New York Road Runners sponsors the NYC Marathon and around 65 other events a year.

A revitalization of Detroit, Michigan is happening! In 2015, Feldman’s HFZ acquired the Fisher and Albert Kahn buildings in Detroit – the buildings themselves are recognized as one of the leading national landmarks, winning all kinds of awards. It fits into HFZ’s brand, best in kind in location and architecture. HFZ’s plan is to renovate the building, and leasing up the Fisher building. There is interest in converting the Kahn building to a residential and retail development.

During Part 3 of Ziel Feldman’s interview with BisnowTV, he talks about “The Eleventh,” HFZ’s Bjarke Ingels-designed condo project near the High Line. The twisting, two-building development will feature condos as well as the global luxury Six Senses hotel. Uptown, HFZ is working on the rejuvenation of The Belnord, when, at the time it was built in 1903, was the largest residential development in the world.

Callahan Capital Properties and Ivanhoé Cambridge’s 1411 Broadway is featured in the Commercial Observer’s The Plan. The owners decided to focus on a more long-term plan for the building, decided while planning a basic window washing. The windows were modernized and provide thermal insulation as well as UV protection. The replacement of the 4,700 windows will begin in May and marks the final phase of a $60 million renovation to update the tower.
