The Chicago Housing Authority board approved a contract to subsidize as many as 160 of 272 apartments at a low-income housing complex in University Village. The CHA reached the agreement with Jonathan Rose Cos., which plans to take over and renovate Barbara Jean Wright Court, a 27-building complex at 1354 S. Morgan Street. Jonathan Rose plans a major makeover that will include new roofs and HVAC systems and new kitchens and bathrooms in the apartments.

The Hellenic Classical Charter School inked a ground lease with the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church for an empty parking lot on Staten Island to build a new expansion to its campus. HCCS plans to build a new 36,000-square-foot building on the site that will host classrooms, a gym, a library, and an auditorium for third to eighth-grade students.
Avison Young’s Martin Cottingham, Michael Gottlieb and Patrick Steffens represented HCCS in the deal. Holy Trinity had no brokers.
