An article in Real Estate Alert highlights the firm’s latest deal, a majority-equity investment for a $42.5 million project to construct Wesley Place, a 244-unit, four-story apartment building in downtown Indianapolis. The project will include 3,000 sf of ground-floor retail space and a garage. Amenities will include an interior courtyard and a pool. The deal aligns with Standard’s strategy of developing market-rate workforce housing, with a focus on improving access to capital for minority- and women-owned developers.

Populous senior event architect Todd Barnes, who has worked on the project since 2015, has designed temporary venues for World Cups and Olympics.

Simone Development Companies, a Bronx-based real estate investment firm, sold one of the last large tracts of Nassau County industrial property to Brookfield Asset Management for $45 million. The 15-acre site is in Hicksville, and Brookfield plans to build a 30,000-SF warehouse distribution hub.
