FirstService Residential Tapped to Manage Clinton Hill High-Rise

FirstService Residential has been appointed manager for The Axel, a high-end rental tower at 545 Vanderbilt Avenue in Brooklyn’s Clinton Hill neighborhood. The appointment was made by Hopestreet Capital, a New York City-based real estate investment group that completed the tower in December 2022. The 29-story building houses 284 apartments, 30,000 square feet of hotel-inspired amenity spaces, and 60,000 square feet of prime retail space with frontage along Vanderbilt and Atlantic avenues. To-date, the building has rented 60% of its units, a record time for a new development.

Israeli coworking company secures Downtown Miami office space

Mindspace, a Tel Aviv-based co-working office company has signed a 10-year, 31,192-SF lease for three floors at RFR Realty’s 100 Biscayne, a 30-story commercial building on Biscayne Boulevard. The office will be Mindspace’s second location in Miami, and can accomodate 450 workspaces. The desire for more compact space with flexible lease terms has been a boon for co-working companies, particularly in South Florida. RFR was represented by Eric Groffman, Cameron Tallon, Joshua Gibbons, and Emily Brais of CBRE in the lease negotiations. Avis relocates HQ to Parsippany’s Latitude

Avis Budget Group is moving its headquarters to Latitude, a 700,000-SF office property owned by a JV of Rubenstein Partners LP and Vision Real Estate Partners. The e car rental agency holding company signed a lease for a new, 155,234-square-foot space at the property. Latitude consists of two, symmetrical five-story wings with offices, meeting spaces, and lifestyle services and experiences. The annexes are connected with a new central glass atrium that offers common areas, dining options, fitness centers and U.S. city-themed spaces for collaborating.
