Marcus & Millichap’s Institutional Property Advisors has secured $62.4 million in acquisition financing for a six-property portfolio of grocery-anchored retail centers in Florida, Colorado and Indiana. Sunny Sajnani and Todd McNeill of IPA worked on behalf of the borrower, Essential Growth Properties, to place the five-year, fixed-rate, non-resource financing through three separate lenders. The portfolio includes Gainesville Shopping Center in Gainesville, Florida; Cheyenne Meadows Shopping Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado; Woodlands Crossing in Elkhart, Indiana; Plymouth Plaza in Plymouth, Indiana; Crawfordsville Square in Crawfordsville, Indiana; and Auburn Plaza, Auburn, Indiana.

The retail arm of blockchain firm Solana is opening a Miami outpost at the eight-story, three-year-old Annex Wynwood with a new 4,200-square-foot lease. The Solana Embassy at 15 Northwest 24th Street will be the firm’s second lounge and community center aimed at raising awareness for the brand. The Retail by MONA team of Brandon Singer and colleagues Michael Cody and Kim Levandovsky advised Solana.

Retail by Mona has hired a team of three specializing in the food and beverage space to expand its business offerings. Alexandra Turboff, previously a partner at restaurant brokerage Branded Concept Development, which was recently bought by retail brokerage RIPCO, is joining Retail by Mona as executive vice president. Her former associate partners at BCD, Jason Lloyd and Marisa Simkin, also will join the firm as senior associates. Their collective expertise “will add a new dimension to our team as we navigate the challenges and opportunities of the ever-evolving retail landscape,” said Brandon Singer, CEO of Retail by Mona.
