View, Inc.’s Smart Windows will enclose the Phase I buildings of Hamilton Green, a large-scale, mixed-use, transit-oriented property being developed by RXR in White Plains, NY at the site of the former White Plans Mall.View Smart Windows will be included in every apartment unit as well as Hamilton Green’s amenity spaces. With 185,000 SF of smart glass across 470 residential units, the installation represents View’s largest multifamily project to-date. View Smart Windows automatically adjust in response to the sun to maximize access to natural light and views of the outdoors while minimizing heat and glare.

View Smart Windows will be installed in Phase II of Charlotte Douglas International Airport’s 189,000-SF Concourse A expansion. This is View’s second project at CLT, following Phase I’s installation of View Smart Windows in 2018 for the Concourse A Connector and Gates A21-29. View Smart Windows increase exposure to daylight and access to views, elevating the passenger experience, by provide more natural light and less glare. Seats at the gates with View Smart Windows are also 15 degrees cooler than at gates with traditional windows, leading to a more comfortable passenger environment, the company added.

RFR and Waterfall Asset Management have acquired the 33,000-square-foot retail condominium portion of The Astor condominium building at 2139 – 2159 Broadway on New York’s Upper West Side in a joint venture. Situated within a vibrant retail corridor, the retail condo consists of up to seven retail suites with more than 400 feet of wrap- around frontage on Broadway, 75th Street and 76th Street. Current tenants include industry- leading cosmetic dermatology firm Ever/Body and award-winning physical therapy practice Spear Physical Therapy. The property currently has 21,500 square feet of super prime retail space available for lease, boasting 14-foot ceiling heights, impressive visibility with 200 feet of frontage along Broadway and flexible floorplans.

Chicago-based Waterton acquired 128 on State, a 123-unit multifamily property in the Seattle suburb of Kirkland from Prometheus Real Estate Group for $63.5 million. Waterton plans to renovate the units and common areas and add a yoga studio to the fitness center.

The City of Carmel and Philadelphia-based Rubenstein Partners are developing plans to transform the eastern half of Parkwood Crossing into a neighborhood with office space, housing, restaurants, retail, recreation and a new street grid. Parkwood Crossing is the largest office complex in the metropolitan area. It has eight multistory buildings, 1.2 million square feet of rentable office space and an occupancy rate of 76%. The project, called Carmel Gateway, would incorporate Parkwood Crossing’s three largest office buildings, a large parking lot and a pond into a mixed-use development that would add 1.2 million square feet of housing with nearly 1,200 apartment units, more than 86,000 square feet of retail space and 87,000 square feet of hotel space.
