The RADCO Companies has acquired the 143-room Aloft Phoenix-Airport hotel in Phoenix, AZ, adjacent to the Sky Harbor International Airport. RADCO will execute a strategic property improvement plan for the hotel including a substantial renovation of the property’s common areas, lobby, corridors and guest rooms. The deal marks the 12th acquisition by RADCO’s new hotel division. The firm previously acquired four hotels in the Atlanta market and seven Florida properties in the Panhandle and St. Petersburg.

Leaf Home, a Hudson, Ohio-based provider of home improvement products, has signed a 10,000-square-feet lease on the 15th floor of Marx Realty’s 10 Grand Central, a space which includes four private outdoor terraces. The company, known for its LeafFilter gutter protection technology, will utilize 10 GC as the headquarters for its marketing operations. Leaf Home was represented by CBRE’s Maxwell Tarter on the deal. Marx Realty was represented by JLL’s Mitchell Konsker, Kyle Young, Carlee Palmer, Simon Landmann and Thomas Swartz. In the past year, more than 90,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and office space has been leased at 10 Grand Central.

Locust Street Group, a D.C.-based public affairs and communications firm, has signed a deal to relocate to 21,500 SF Marx Realty’s Herald building, 1307 New York Ave. NW. The 114,000-square-foot former home of the Washington Times-Herald has landed a spate of tenants since New York-based Marx Realty completed a major renovation a few years ago. Ken Biberaj and Danielle Ferrari of Savills represented Locust Street Group, opposite Will Stern and Eli Barnes of Avison Young. The deal was included in Washington Business Journal’s “deal dash” section.
