Populous engaged by RS&H for New Mexico's Spaceport America Master Plan

The New Mexico Spaceport Authority has awarded the Spaceport America Master Plan Project to RS&H, and global design firm Populous has been selected to provide master-planning support for the world’s first purpose-built commercial spaceport. The firm is also leading branding and event programming analysis efforts for the 12-month effort to chart the future of Spaceport America in New Mexico – centered around space tourism and focused on building, testing and launching a number of space technologies. The spaceport master plan study will include various considerations for future operations (space and aviation), macro and micro-industry trends, national security space requirements and operations, public and private investments, potential launch vehicles operating from the site, frequency of flights, potential payloads, propellant storage, regulatory trends, and development options for future spaceport operations.

Investment Advisers Helix Partners Moving to 545 Madison

Investment adviser Helix Partners Management has signed a 7,000-SF lease on the 8th floor of Marx Realty’s 545 Madison Avenue. The firm will relocate from its current space at 399 Park Avenue, drawn in by hotel-like amenities such as a car service for tenants, the Leonard Lounge, and other perks. CBRE’s Greg Maurer-Hollaender, Ryan Alexander and Jared Isaacson represented the tenant in the deal. Cushman & Wakefield’s Tara Stacom, Harry Blair, Peter Trivelas, Connor Daugstrup, Remy Liebersohn and Bianca Di Mauro handled it for the landlord.

Mercy College Reups on 125K-SF Campus in the Bronx

Simone Development Companies announced a 125,000-SF lease renewal for Mercy College at its Hutch Metro Center at 1200 Waters Place in the Bronx, where the campus has been for two decades. James Macdonald of Simone Metro Properties represented the landlord in-house while William Cuddy and Greg Maurer-Hollaender of CBRE negotiated on behalf of Mercy College. The Hutch Metro Center opened in 2003 and spans 42 acres.
