Waterton, a Chicago-based real estate investor, acquired the 265-unit Lakes apartment development at 14710 NE 40th Street in Bellevue, WA for $103 million, the company’s second Seattle-area multifamily acquisition in three months. The Lakes is a 29-building, 12.8-acre complex with two lakes, mature trees and landscaping. Amenities include two pools, two hot tubs, a fitness center, theater, conference room, business center and lounge. Waterton plans to update the apartments with new finishes and appliances, as well as renovate the existing clubhouses.
