Avison Young has arranged a 15,000 s/f lease for Western Connecticut Medical Group to be the anchor tenant at Fairfield County’s latest state-of-the-art medical building at 249 Danbury Road. The Medical Group will provide primary care services. An additional 35,000 s/f of medical space is available on the second and third floor.

Martin Lomazow, an SVP at CBRE in Long Island notes that landlords have been converting office space once classified as industrial to meet the demand of industrial companies moving or relocating on Long Island. There is such a shortage of industrial space that those assets are often selling for more money per square foot than office space.

Raymond P. Daddazio received the Keystone Award from the Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation. He has been a constant champion of increasing gender diversity throughout the organization, and particularly in leadership. Daddazio spearheaded the formation of a diversity program at the firm, and participates in the BWAF Industry Leaders Roundtable. Ray also founded the Inclusion and Diversity committee which helps people realize their full potential.

Gene Pride, SVP of CBRE Capital Markets tells The Real Deal that the biggest obstacle to creating multifamily projects is obtaining zoning approval, and real estate taxes. He also notes that it’s important to plan well – limiting dense communities to transit-oriented areas to eliminate congestion. Additionally, planning smaller retail footprints is more lucrative for the business and eliminates wasted space that can be allocated to amenities for residents.
