RiverOak Investment Corp., Azimuth Development and the nonprofit Women in Need are building a 17-story mixed-use supportive project on the Upper East Side at 316 East 91st Street in Yorkville. All the residential units will be two-bedrooms, geared towards single mothers who are homeless.

Avison Young released a report detailing its Q3 transaction volume in New Jersey. Among the transactions totaling 380,000 SF include: a 118,691 SF lease for Synchronoss Technologies, Inc. at 200 Crossing Boulevard; Wedgewood Village Pharmacy leased 78,712 SF at 305 Heron Drive in Swedesboro; and PBF Holding Co. signed a lease deal for 57,721 lease at 1 Sylvan Way in Parsippany.

Avison Young Principal Ted Stratigos, managing director of the Long Island office, assisted in the $4.9m sale of 13 Grove Street in Darien, CT with colleague Alison Luisi, of the Fairfield/Westchester office. Blackshaw Chriscott LLC was the buyer, and Day Street Development LLC was the seller. The 5,726 SF mixed-use property is fully leased.

Kalmon Dolgin Affiliates represented both buyer and seller in a $13m transaction at a Staten Island property. Wide World Plumbing will relocate to 125 Lake Avenue, a seven-acre parcel that includes 100,000 SF of warehouse buildings, and Royal Seafood Baza has established a food distribution facility at 175 Lake Avenue, on 90,000 SF of property. Gary Mayzlin of KDA was the broker in both transactions.

He specializes in sustainable architecture and has overseen a number of government, civic, and higher education projects involving high-performance buildings that utilize passive low energy systems.

Rubenstein Partners acquires a 180,000 SF office building in Reston, Va. for $18.6 million. The firm is planning a $9.5m renovation to 11493 Sunset Hills Road, and will add a fitness center, conference center, food service, and a collaborative indoor/outdoor space, as well as an outdoor deck. Rubenstein also plans to add elements that will make the building a high-tech magnet.

Staples has renewed its Union Square West lease for another five years, according to Newmark Holdings. The office supply store has occupied the 21,173 SF space on the ground floor for 25 years. There were no tenant brokers ,and Brian Steinwurtzel and Eric Gural of Newmark Holdings represented the landlord in-house.

Building and Land Technology announces that Henkel Consumer Goods has moved its North American HQ from Arizona to 200 Elm Street in Stamford, CT. BLT Is leasing 135,000 SF to the tenant, which recently acquired Sun Products, based in Wilton. The space will fully house Henkel by the first quarter of 2018.

Interior Building Services has renewed its lease for the 12th floor at Newmark Holdings’ 374 W. 37th Street. The company will remain in its 13,675 SF space, and was represented by Michael Morris of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank. Matthew Mandell of Newmark Holdings represented the owner in-house.
