Avison Young announced that Giaronomo Productions, a leading movie advertising and trailer production company, has signed a new long-term, 7,620-square-foot lease at 1501 Broadway, also known as the Paramount Building. The firm has worked on trailers for movies such as The Martian, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and Snowden. It will occupy a portion of the seventh floor of the 800,000 s/f building, relocating from 665 Broadway later this summer.

Rubenstein Partners and Strategic Capital Partners acquired Parkwood Crossing in August for $162.9m from Duke Realty Corp. Now, the ownership team is embarking on a $6 million amenity center as part of a $20 million investment in the property. The 14,000 s/f amenity center will feature a fitness center, conference and training center, tenant lounge, gourmet café and outdoor deck. The deal is featured in the Indianapolis Business Journal.

Starlight Designs, a jewelry maker, is among the growing roster of tenants at The Factory, a former warehouse in Long Island City that has been transformed into an office complex. Starlight, represented by Jeff Unger of Kalmon Dolgin Affiliates, signed 17,000 s/f for the fifth floor of the 1.1 million-square-foot building. Jordan Gosin of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented the Factory’s landlord in the deal.

One John Street, a 12-story, 42-unit luxury residential property on the Brooklyn waterfront, has achieved LEED Gold certification. Thornton Tomasetti developed a sustainability strategy for Alloy, the project owner/architect, to help the 125,000 s/f building achieve this milestone.
