The Avison Young team of Arthur Mirante, Anthony LoPresti, Michael Gottlieb, Joseph Gervino and Matthew Hoffman represented Paramount Leasehold, the landlord of the paramount Building at 1501 Broadway, in a 22,063 SF lease for Social Service Employees Union Local 371. The landlord is completing a $50 million renovation of the 33-story office tower, and the union will take part of the fourth floor at the property, in a move from its current space at 817 Broadway.

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater has leased 17,583 SF at a Secaucus warehouse at 1 County Road, in a relocation from a site in Long Island City currently undergoing redevelopment. A team of Avison Young that includes Arthur J. Mirante, Timothy Cadigan, Richard Sullivan, and John Recchia represented the dance company in its lease, while Bill Waxman and Kevin Dudley with CBRE represented the owner, Bhasin Properties. Alvin Ailey will use the space to store and build its performance sets.

The New York Post takes a look at Connecticut’s two closest towns, Stamford and Greenwich, comparing things like new homes, leisure activities and businesses. Highlights in Stamford include Harbor Point, a mixed-use waterfront development by Building and Land Technology that offers residential, office, retail, and restaurants, plus marinas and parks along the shoreline. In 2009, the space was comprised of vacant or underutilized buildings. BLT is opening two residential properties: 100 Commons Park North in December 2017, and Davenport Landing in 2018.
