EW Howell Construction Group completed two senior living facilities for Sunrise Senior Living in Summit, NJ and Huntington, NY. The Summit location is a 70,000-square-foot, steel and concrete structure that also includes lower-level parking. The Sunrise of Huntington community includes 90 units with 108 beds, providing assisted living and memory care services inside a two-story building, featuring amenities such as a wellness center, an activity room and a beauty salon.

Castle Lanterra Properties has sold Watergate Poninte in Annapolis, Maryland to TPG Real Estate Partners. The 21-building, 608-unit campus apartment community is on an expansive 31-acre inlet of the Chesapeake Bay peninsula. The property features panoramic water views, a 162-slip marina with fishing docks, and is located within walking distance of historic downtown Annapolis and the Naval Academy.

Latch, an access control and building software provider has officially gone public. Founded in 2014, Latch is an enterprise SaaS provider to buildings and residents in over 300,000 units across more than 35 states, with one in ten new multifamily apartments in the United States built with Latch in 2019. Forbes talks with Casey Berman, General Partner at proptech venture fund Camber Creek, which was Latch’s first VC investor, to discuss this news and the outlook for the sector.

An Avison Young team represented landlord S.A. Bendheim Co. in a lease deal for Anthemis. The financial services company took 5,802 SF at 122 Hudson Street in Tribeca for its new corporate HQ. Anthemis is planning to relocate its headquarters from 142 Greene Street in SoHo following a buildout within the next two to three weeks. Peter Gross of Avison Young represented S.A. Bendheim Co. in the transaction. Greg Wang from Newmark represented Anthemis in the negotiations.

Castle Lanterra Properties has sold Stratus Townhomes in Denver, CO to Klingbeil Capital Management for $85 million. Acquired by CLP in November 2017, Stratus Townhomes is a 36-building, 280-unit townhome community with 140 two-bedroom units and 140 three-bedroom, tri-level homes with private entrances. Following its acquisition of the residential community, CLP invested in a number of major capital improvements and a modernization.
