Newmark Holdings has closed a $120-million loan transaction for a three-building, 390,000-square-foot office portfolio. The properties include 740 Broadway, 2-20 Astor Place and 440 Lafayette. The lenders were BNY Mellon and TD Bank.
Broad Street Development

Demos, a public policy organization, has inked an 16,500-square-foot deal at 80 Broad Street. It will occupy the entire fourth floor of the 36-story, 423,403-square-foot building, according to Ellen Herman of JLL who represented Demos along with colleague Jason Schwartzenberg in the deal. Ramona Huegel represented landlord Broad Street Development in-house.

Hershey’s Chocolate World Times Square will open a New York City flagship three times the size of its current 2,200 SF store, set to welcome candy lovers next year at 20 Times Square on 7th avenue and W. 47th St. The chocolate company is just one of several Times Square tenants creating more interactive or engaging retail environments to grab the attention of the more than 300,000 estimated pedestrians that visit Times Square, New York City daily. A team from Avison Young brokered the deal on behalf of Hershey.
